LOCATION

Set in the heart of beautiful Perthshire, Scotland, Blairgowrie remains unspoilt yet is itself a centre of activity for the area. Visit Perth, with its fine shops and theatre, passing the Beech Hedge at Meiklour on the way; Pitlochry with its dam, salmon ladder and Festival Theatre; Loch Tay, Loch Tummel and Loch Rannoch; the Nature Reserve at the Loch of the Lowes, where ospreys nest, Braemar and Royal Deeside, returning by Banchory and the Cairn o'Mount, the Angus Glens and coastal resorts; the Kingdom of Fife, easily reached by Dundee and the Tay road bridge, to see St. Andrews, Falkland Palace and the delightful fishing villages of the East Neuk. Watch Highland Games, too, mainly in August and September, and enjoy Highland entertainment weekly in Blairgowrie throughout the summer.

Historic Sites include Scone Palace, Perth; Glamis Castle and the Angus Folk Museum of carved Pictish Stones; the Cathedral and National Trust houses at Dunkeld; Ardblair with its Jacobite relics; and Roman sites at Cardean and Inchtuthill.
